Program Summary and Highlights
The main goal and focus of the 9U Development Program is to provide an opportunity for young athletes to become fundamentally sound and intelligent baseball players. Formal training will begin in January, continue indoors through March, and then begin the regular season schedule in April. The 9U team will play approximately 20 games in the NEAAU Spring League with one travel tournament. Games have traditionally been double-headers on Saturday – many players are able and encouraged to play with their town teams during the week. There are also many intangibles, overt benefits, and advantages afforded to each player by participating in a program centered at Franklin Pierce University and sharing facilities with one of the most successful and nationally-renowned collegiate baseball programs.
Tuition for the six month development program is $750, and includes: approximately 20 games (one weekend tournament), extensive weekly winter practices at FPU’s “Bubble”, access to staff/coaching with decades of professional baseball experience, practices at New England’s premier baseball facility and fields, and exclusive opportunities for specialized baseball clinics featuring standout collegiate athletes and FPU’s collegiate coaches.
The 9U uniform package (included in tuition) includes a NE Ravens hat and jersey.
Each player will have the ability to purchase optional uniform items such as team logo hoodies, warm-up tops, and practice apparel and occasionally take advantage of special deals on gear like Rawlings baseball gloves and Oakley sunglasses.
Payment and Fee Schedule
In order to reserve your spot on the NE Ravens roster, a first payment of $250 is due within one week of being notified of making the team.
All are welcome to pay their tuition in full at any time, or participate in the 9U program payment plan. Additional payments will be due on the first day of each month according to the fee schedule that you will receive at orientation.
Because the New England Ravens are an established and well-known program, fundraising opportunities are always available to motivated players and parents looking to be involved. One example being the 2013 14U NE Ravens – none of which paid out-of-pocket for their annual tuition or their trip to the AAU National Championship in Fort Myers, Florida due to their tireless fundraising efforts.
